  Whacked on the nip ...

  well, i introduced the kitten to catnip today ... lol!

  she is too cute, except when she lands on my back with all four paws, claws out, to get my attention ... ouch!.

  it just makes me wonder .. why is it okay to get our pets stoned, and not ourselves?.

  talesin, I think that my cat definatly started to change his attitude around the time that my first son was born. We had two at the time and they were littermates. One cat was like my wifes baby untill the real deal came along. Then he started to mark his territory. Here, there, every where, and any where. This cat even pissed on my bed while my wife and I were sleeping in it.

  The straw that broke the camel's back was when I bought a brand new queen size bed, sheets, matress, and comforter After spending every spare cent I had on these items the cat decides to piss all over them. When I discovered what he had done I got rid of him. I couldnt take him any more.

  His litter mate was cool though. He was a good cat and I did enjoy him untill he ran away.

  My cats too couldn't refrain from eating the home grown. I put a milk crate over them to prevent them from destroying the plant prematurely.

  1) My three kids fighting one another to be the first one to give dad a hug and a kiss when he gets home from work.

  2) Looking into my wife's eyes as she tells me she loves me and knowing that she really does.

  3) Two cups of tea on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

  I recently told my mother about the WBTS affiliation with the UN and she immediately dismissed it as fantasy, something that I read on some garbage web site. She refused to believe that what I told her could be reality. But this is expected, as the average rank and file Witness is unaware of their dealings.

  How many of you consider yourselves Pagan?

  i've started on a path that is very comfortable for me almost a year ago.

  and now i'm wanting to see how many believe a similar way.. i looked into wiccan, celtic, eclectic and other forms of pagan.

  i think that i've settled down into shamanism since that was the path my grandfather went.

  Although I dont consider myself a pagan, I do however fast on Winter solstice. I also believe as Frank Lloyd Wright did in that the Earth itself is my church.

  Does your barber or hair stylist use a straight razor?

  the other day i was getting my hair cut.

  after she was finished using the clippers to trim the back of my neck she pulled out a straight razor to scrape the hair on my neck even closer.

  i just about jumped out of the chair when i saw her try to trim me with that thing!

  I normally go to the local Famous Hair and I dont think they use them at all. I've always wanted to go to an old fashoned barber and get a hot towel straigh razor shave though. Although I've never really thought about the health issues.

  When I was "active in the congregation I avoided the issue at all costs. I hated going out in service in my own neighborhood. Heaven forbid any of my class mates see me. I'll never forget the time it was my turn to talk and whose house was it? Only the biggest, strongest, most loud mouth beligerent jock in the whole school. I knew that the next day was going to be pure hell.

  Now it doesn't bother me one bit to discuss it openly. I dont go out of my way to start conversations about it but if discussing religion I dont hesitate to relay my experiences.

  every once in a while, i'll drive thru the blocks of our old territory, remebering the friends, how we would share time in the ministry.

  reminiscing about those i left.

  I miss drawing on the one to one and one half blank pages in the front of whatever book we were studying at the moment. I also miss long sessions of stairing at floresent lights, closing my eyes, rubbing them hard, and watching my third eye produce wonder colors, shapes, and images. That was probablly my favorite part of the meetings.

  i am at a point were i want to present them a book on cults.

  i have nothing to lose as they have dis-owned me for years and have only recently came back into my life as a result of my moms illness ( alzeimers ) these people are driving me nuts!!!

  The problem is that everyone is different and reacts to situations in their own manner. My mother for example has a rocky relationship with my DF'd sister. I have never been DF'd (to my knowledge any way) but I have never held back in telling my mother the way I feel. I've told her that being raised as a JW was one of the worst things that has ever happend to me. I've told her that the WTBS are false prophets. She still maintains our relationship. You never know how some one will react. No one on these forums knows your family better than you do. All we can do is speculate and give your our experiences.

  Yeah, I used to get my cats all stoned up on the nip. I even grew my own for a while. I really enjoyed buying them toys and putting the toys in the cat nip container. But that was BC (before children). Having kids really changed my attitude toward the felines. Kids and the fact that my one cat was possesed and took every opportunity to piss on my belongings or even spray directly on me. It didnt take long for me to get fed up with that.
